Elderly Care

As we age we lose the ability to move as freely as we once did. Many seniors are a fall risk and a caregiver is there to ensure that the senior is safe while moving about their home or even outside, helping them avoid injury. Our caregivers also help to transfer those who are less mobile, such as assisting someone with moving from a wheelchair. Our service is designed to assist with these personal hygiene tasks whether it is offering assistance during bathing, brushing their hair, assisting with denture cleaning or helping a person get dressed, medicine administering and refill, etc.

Domestic/Home Care

  • Personal care: this may include dressing, grooming, bathing and toileting.
  • Offering medication reminders and management.
  • The preparation of meals including shopping, cooking and cleaning up afterwards.
  • Light housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that your loved one has clean clothes and their environment is neat and hygienic.
  • They can also help with running errands such as going to the post office or pharmacy.

High Dependency Care

If you have a loved one who lives alone and requires extra care throughout the day, you should consider getting a caregiver right away. Our plan includes personal care, meal preparation, transportation and many more. Our caregivers demonstrate compassion and empathy for their clients’ needs, to get them through their daily physical, mental, and emotional anguishes of life.  We are flexible with how our clients are feeling, as well as be available outside of typical work hours for extra care or in case of emergencies.

Medication Assistance

While the number of medications being taken is high, it’s estimated that 75 percent of seniors aren’t taking their pills properly. Some may be taking medicines that interact with each other, while others may not possess the mental capacity to remember whether or not they’ve taken specific pills. With such a high-risk factor, it’s crucial to monitor medications and consumption among the elderly carefully. Our qualified caregivers work closely with medical professionals to ensure that their patients are taking each medication properly. By administering pills and properly educating each of their patients, they help reduce the risk of serious issues that accompany the improper use of medications.

Companionship

When we get older, it can be hard to get out and socialize and do other activities as we once did. This can often cause feelings of isolation and depression. One of the other important roles our caregiver serves is as a companion. Caregivers offer friendly conversation and can help you do the things you love, such as play games, garden, etc. Relationships make a difference in our lives. Not only do they bring us joy and a sense of belonging, but relationships can also make a difference in how a senior fights against illness or whether or not they stick to a strict diet. Also, our service provides an emotional support system allows each senior to continue enjoying the social aspects of their lives.
